Capital District YMCA Hires Susan Fogarty as Senior Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer

The Capital District YMCA is pleased to announce the hire of Susan Rosko Fogarty as their Senior Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer, effective March 27, 2017.

 In this role, Susan will evaluate, present, manage, and execute strategic initiatives and market opportunities that best support the association’s short-term and long-term strategies. These opportunities will include capital expansions, strategic alliances and partnerships, joint ventures, and operational investments.

As the Chief Strategy Officer, Susan will focus on building emerging business strategy with a 3-5 year perspective. Susan will also focus on guiding long term (5-10+ years) strategy for the association, to ensure a viable future, as well as sustaining the current core business in the short term (1-3 years).

In her efforts to successfully execute strategic planning for the association, Susan will apply her functional capabilities and leadership capacity to work and communicate effectively with people across the association.

Susan brings to this position a proven track record of building relationships and reformulating logistical processes that lead to successful strategic planning and implementation.

Among her chief responsibilities, Susan will provide leadership for the effective planning, organization and coordination of financial development efforts, to ensure continued revenue for the growth and development of the Association in relation to annual, capital and endowment efforts.

Prior to joining the Capital District YMCA, Susan was Senior Vice President, Senior Relationship Manager for Key Private Bank. In that role, Susan received the 2015 Chairman’s Award, and grew Key Bank’s portfolio by more than $300 million in new business assets in four years.

Susan is a graduate of Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Public Affairs and Citizenship, with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy. Currently, Susan is enrolled in the MBA Program at the College of Saint Rose.
